Networking Technologies Launches NetCheckNetwork Monitoring

REABAH INC. d/b/a Networking Technologies of Erie, PA, announced today they have started to provide network monitoring services for enterprise customers. 

According to partner James Bahm, CISSP, "The demands on businesses today and their data communications networks has established a need for proper network monitoring. The availability of a network resources has become a primary concern of executive officers. Previously, to Network downtime, mean time to repair and and individuals that currently use a frame relay connection, T-1 connection or must have two or more locations connected to transfer information now have an affordable alternative to land-based solutions."

Bahm says Alternative Bandwidth will be providing the fastest and most configurable "always on" data links available in the region, that can simultaneously provide private phone service--making it possible to place and receive phone calls while connected to the Internet or any other network on the computer.

Services offered by the new company will include Internet access, virtual local area network, virtual private network and voice over IP solutions.  Alternative Bandwidth's technology is a wireless product operating in the 2.4 GHz spectrum and using frequency hopping spread spectrum communications methodology.  This technology can deliver reliable wireless connection over large coverage areas.

"Now you will be able to connect multiple offices or sites to a virtual private network with security and reliability at a significantly reduced price to previous land-based options," says Bahm.  "Voice and data can be routed through this connection for all of your facilities at an affordable price."

Alternative Bandwidth is currently acquiring equipment and implementing their wireless coverage network.  The company will be providing wireless service to the Erie area in Febuary 2001.
