At Networking Technologies, we see the opportunity to not only address our client’s needs but also serve as a technology resource for their organization. This model of addressing issues while providing insights was a perfect fit for Chris Heck, who joined the Networking Technologies team in November 2018. His charge as a system and cloud specialist is to professionally offer suggestions, innovation and resolution for clients’ IT needs. As a former Network Instructor at Erie Institute of Technology, Chris not only understands how to resolve issues but also how to explain the solutions to clients in a way they can understand and make the best choice for their organization.
With dozens of Business Management courses from Bryant & Stratton under his belt, Chris understands that it is not just about applying technology to a business, but instead about making technology work for the business. His philosophy that “strength is what we gain from the madness we survive” allows him to embrace the ever-changing landscape of technology and the challenges each day brings. He brings with him years of both technology and leadership experience from his work as a service desk analyst and incident manager at Moog Inc. and a help desk and operations supervisor at Adelphia-Time Warner.
Though he quips he’s “boring now” as he’s getting older, Chris loves to be active in a variety of activities outside of the office. His interests range from outdoor activities like hiking, camping, fishing, biking and snowboarding to serving as a fitness and boxing instructor and a volunteer for community organizations. Chris also is a martial artist and held certifications as a First Aid, CPR, AED, and was a First Responder.
Chris recently moved back to Erie from Buffalo and is glad to be reunited with his parents. He also adores his two sons who, he is quick to tell you, mean the world to him.
